Telemetry Technician Exam in Pennsylvania

The Telemetry technician exam in Pennsylvania is administered through the National Telemetry Association. This test requires the completion of 303 test questions. Many of those questions will require an individual to provide specific information about how they would react in various real-world situations, demonstrating their ability to analyze heart waveforms and react appropriately to them.

Students have 180 minutes to complete the telemetry technician exam. The test questions are varied, and the students can expect to need much of that time to complete the test. A passing score on the certification examination is 80% or higher.

Telemetry Technician Certification in Pennsylvania

After completion of the test, a student will receive their certified cardiographic technician or CCT certification. This certification demonstrates to employers that the individual has the necessary skills to work as a telemetry technician. The certification remains in place for two years. Once those two years pass, each person can then renew their certification for an additional two years. Some continuing education courses may be necessary to do so.
