What’s Next?

Multiple specialty and ongoing training is advantageous. Professionals that are interested in becoming certified as a telemetry monitoring technician can receive certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). However, CCI requires that applicants be either enrolled in or have graduated from a cardiovascular program when they apply.

For further advancement, consider enrolling in a two year telemetry monitoring college program. College telemetry monitoring certificate programs at 2-year colleges range in length from two (2) months to one (1) year.

The sky’s the limit for anything you want to achieve with a telemetry certification. Telemetry monitoring Technicians can gear up to receive additional certification in cardiac catheterization, cardiac sonography, electrophysiology and vascular ultrasound.

Many hospitals and clinics may also provide employee telemetry monitoring training. This training can be used in place of CCI requirements. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification can be received after passing your exam. The CCT certification must be renewed every three (3) years. It’s important that your certification remain current.

Who’s Eligible?

What Works For You, Might Not Work For Someone Else

There are many career paths you can take in the medical profession and it is important to choose the one that’s best suited for your interest and needs. However, you'll want to seek out an organization that has a team dedicated to superior training and assessment of Telemetry Technicians.

It’s critical to find an established organization; one that upholds a Code of Ethics for their certified Members and predominantly lists their Member's certifications online. This way, employers can peruse the website to view a verified Member listing at a glance.

  • Is there an opportunity to earn continuing education credits in order to keep current?
  • Does your certifying body make it easy to renew?
  • If you have questions regarding your certification program, you’ll want to look for an organization that’s available to their Members by a simple phone also.
